Nylon mallets - available in 3.5", 4.5", 5" or 6".
We supply these mallets in white, yellow, red, green and blue, orange and purple so if you want to brighten up your tool kit you can!
These mallets can also be used for metal working.
The handles are approximately 140mm in length, total height approximately 250mm.
The approximate weight of the mallets are as follows:
3.5" = 600g
4.5" = 900g
5" = 1.1kg
6" = 1.6kg
Why use a nylon?
The shock absorption of a nylon mallet helps to extent the life of the chisels by slightly softening the blow, compared to a metal hammer, as well as reducing the vibrations travelling into the hand and arm of the carver.
